Is the verb in the sentence in the active voice or the passive voice? My cat is startled by most loud noises. A. passive voice B. active voice

    A. Passive voice

    The sentence is more complicated and wordy than it need to be, in this case the sentence can easily become simpler by flipping it around. The issue comes with "Is startled by", it is unnecessarily wordy.

    "Most loud noises startle my cat." This would be active voice, see how the sentence becomes simpler with it? That is the difference between active voice and passive voice.
