Write a paragraph that evaluates Odysseus's qualifications as an epic hero.

Odysseus is considered as a hero because of the traits that he portrays throughout the book. For example, he watches out for his crew while he is on his voyage to get home. He is confident that he represents virtue even when a modern audience might not be so sure. He is also a living series of contradictions, a much more complicated character than we would expect to find in the stereotypical epic hero.
