What is the purpose of a descriptive essay?

Descriptive essay is about describing a place, object, person, experience, emotions, happenings or situations etc. When doing this, you are expanding your imaginations beyond words. Using detailed descriptions of a certain thing or subject can make the reader become more interested. You make it easier for the reader to apprehend the content. As a reader, one could easily imagine the scenario or the object being described. It creates a great impact on the reader and would surely have great interest on your work.

To describe something on a fancy or realistic way. The purpose is to provide detailed description of any subject in order to inform to the reader, things he doesn't know or haven't seen directly.
