Write a personal response to The Great Gatsby in which you describe your reaction to the character of Jay Gatsby and his fate. Is Gatsby an innocent victim, a foolish dreamer, or a guilty imposter? Use details from the novel to support your response?

    I believe that in many ways Gatsby is guilty of many crimes in order to earn the money he uses to impress Daisy such as bootlegging alcohol from drugstores. At the same time Gatsby is a victim who is faced with the social difference that separates him from Daisy.
