Esquivel writes that traditional role of the woman was being in charge of morality and religion, cook meals, and care for children. The mans has to provide and protect. Although the man is charged with more physical and dangerous tasks, the role of the female has its importance for the care of children, for their growing and education. Each gender carries out different roles but in reality they are almost equally important.
