    Angle 1 = 2x - 9

    angle 2 = 27 - 4x

    If the two angles are congruent, this means that they both have the same angle though each faces a different direction.

    angle 1 = angle 2

    2x - 9 = 27 - 4x

    2x + 4x = 27 + 9

    6x = 36

    6x / 6 = 36 / 6

    x = 6

    angle 1 = 2x - 9 = 2 (6) - 9 = 12 - 9 = 3

    angle 2 = 27 - 4x = 27 - 4 (6) = 27 - 24 = 3
