    I believe the answer to this will be (A) Voters could evaluate candidates based on their appearance and demeanor.

    This is because B doesn't make sense, newspapers still address political issues. I hardly think it was a requirement to be on television to run for office, so its not C. And like I said before, elected officials still make public appearnces before live audiences!
