Describe ned's plan of escape in twenty thousand leagues under the sea

Ned wakes up Aronnax saying "We're going to escape". They planned on leaving at 10:00pm before the moon lit up the night, Ned seems to have seen land somewhere not too far away. The weather was terrible but, they did not seem to mind as they were ready to experience death.
