How were stories In Shakespeare's time different from now

One major difference is the way it was written, we don't use that type of speech anymore. Another difference would be the things being written about, as time goes on topics that get written about change to appeal to the population. Such as you probably wouldn't read a Shakespeare story about woman's rights or sparkly vampires and vice versa.
