    To presume means to expect, or assume.

    Sentence 1: - Mike presumed that the bus would arrive at 8 A. M., but turns out, there was no school that day!

    Sentence 2: - Sarah presumed that Grace would wear something plain to the prom, she was surprised that for the first time, she looked better than everyone!
