What is always true of a thesis statement

A thesis statement introduces the topic that you will be covering in your paper and typically how it will be organized. The structure of a thesis also consists of your overall message (what you want to convey to your audience) and purpose (what you want them to do in response).

It can be anywhere in a paragraph and must always contain the main idea of a topic.
