It was soon followed by Malthus' "Essay on the Principle of Population." Very few Victorians took much notice of it.

    Which of the following statements accurately describes the publication of On the Origin of Species?. A letter from Wallace expounding a theory of natural selection prompted Darwin to complete the manuscript. Alfred Russel Wallace whose studies in Indonesia had similar results to those of Darwin in Latin America and he came up with basically the same mechanism of changes of species by natural selection.
