The five tenets of chivalry laid out in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight are Truthfulness, Fellowship, Purity, Courtesy and Compassion. Find an example of each of these in the story.

    Truthfulness is shown in the part when Gawain lies to the Green knight and we see what happens. Fellowship is directly shown with Arthur's court. Purity, courtesy, and compassion, all refer to the things that Gawain was experiencing during his time in the Green Knight's castle where he spent time with his wife.
