    Fredrick Douglas was an abolitionist who was freed after he went to Baltimore. He wrote an autobiography to show people the real idea of slavery. It shows the experience that he had as he was still a slave.

    Douglas was an abolitionist which was a person who wanted to abolish slavery. Douglas was the most important African Leader of the 19th Century. He died in 1895 and was a successful author and orator.
