If I was the recipient of Sonnet 130, I would be insulted. Clearly, Shakespeare wrote it to make fun of me. The Sonnet is very well written using metaphors and opposite comparisons. If I received Sonnet 138, I would feel guilty. Lying to someone is more difficult when you know that they know you're lying and they just choose to ignore it.
