When an author tries to accurately depict a situation using art or references to art, this is called Realism. Realism was an art movement started in France in the 1850s. It is also referred to as naturalism and is void of any elaboration or stylization in artistic elements. All subjects and scenes are portrayed as accurately as possible by an author.
