Which of the following is a topic sentence that the other sentences support? A hero is someone who sacrifices himself for a greater cause. Self-sacrifice is a necessary ingredient of heroism. Just because a person is oppressed does not make him a hero. For example, Mahatma Gandhi sacrificed himself to liberate India.
