    The answer is C

Connotation is basically a meaning attributed to a word. If someone says, "Corn dog," in a tone of hate or disgust they are giving the word and object (corn dog) a negative connotation. I they said it with a happy voice, they give it a positive connotation. It all depends on how to word or phrase is said.
