Robbie is using the recipe below to make chicken soup. He plans to make 6 batches of the soup. He has 2/3 tsp. of black pepper.

Recipe:

4 c chicken broth

1 med. carrot, sliced

1 stalk celery, sliced

1/2 c uncooked egg noodles

1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

1 c shredded cooked chicken

Write an expression that Robbie can use to determine how much black pepper is needed for 6 batches.

    To figure this out you would multiply 1/8 by 6 because you are making 6 batches. Which would be 0.75

    1/8x-2/3

    x equals the 6 so you multiply 1/8 by 6 and subtract that 2/3 so you would know how much exactly you would need for black pepper
