    He is prideful and overly confident. This is seen by him referencing to being held by the cyclops as "Puny, am I, in a Caveman's hands?" signifying the cyclops as a large unintelligent brute. It is also seen in the next line by taunting him with the pain his companions inflicted on the cyclops and that Zeus and the gods have punished the cyclops for eating his guests.
