Scenario 1: While walking down the hallway at school one day, Ramon saw a poster on the wall advertising the school dance. Immediately, he knew that he wanted to go to the dance, but he was unsure whom to invite: Sylvia, his lab partner in biology, or Karin, his ex-girlfriend. Scenario 2: It was finally the weekend, and Bonnie was ready to go out and have fun with her friends. Unfortunately, her English teacher had informed the class that they would be having a huge grammar test on Monday, a test that Bonnie was not prepared for. During her walk home from school on that Friday afternoon, Bonnie felt confused about what she should do. Explain why each scenario is a character vs. self conflict.

In scenario 1, Ramon has to make a challenging decision on whether to take his friend or his ex, with each probably causing him over thinking. in scenario 2, Bonnie wants to have fun but she also wants good grades, so she has to decide on one or the other, but with each decision she will find more pros with the other.
