Reread page 263. what does scout feel sticking out of bob's ribs?

This is from the book To Kill a Mockingbird. Scout did not know it at the time but she describes feeling something, possible an object, that she could not identify on Bob Ewell's body. While talking with Mr. Finch she identified it as a kitchen knife which was protruding under Bob Ewell's rib.
