1. Place the modifier next to the word it modifies.

2. Get rid of the modifier.

3. Supply a word for the modifier to describe.

4. Change the dangling modifier to a subordinate clause.

Dangling construction is defined as group of words that works as a modifier for a noun or phrase. But said noun or phrase is absent in the sentence.

Dangling modifiers are usually found at the beginning of the sentence but it can sometimes be found at the end of the sentence.

Correcting a dangling construction, one can do any of the following:

1. Place the modifier next to the word it modifies.

3. Supply a word for the modifier to describe.

4. Change the dangling modifier to a subordinate clause.
