Some poems about death mention God or religion, but Gray's "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard" does not. Knowing that this poem is a romantic poem, why might Gray have chosen not to bring formal religion into it?

    Because he originally wrote this this poem due to his best friends death which inspired him to write the poem in the first place
