What are reasons that mr Jones was a better leader then Napoleon in animal farm

One reason would include that Mr. Jones managed to keep the animals not only loyal to him, but he also managed to keep them healthy and strong enough to keep working for him, unlike Napoleon who constantly had many of the animals starve or go without food.
