Can someone explain why these sentences are personification from the most dangerous game: 1 "Cant see it," remarked Rainford, trying to peer through the dank tropical night that was palpable as it passed its thick warm blackness upon the yacht.

    This is personification becuase, it is referring to the tropical night as "it passed its thick warm blackness upon the yacht". In reality, a tropical night can't do that.
