The author of "Diary 33" believed in being loyal to her family, but she also believed in not sending an innocent person to prison. Yet, she was put in a position where both of her morals were tested and only one moral could be fulfilled. This moral dilemma reveals that the author values her family and her mother most of all. The conclusion showed that her mother gave her the courage to tell the truth, even if that meant breaking her loyalty to her gang.
