Which line most clearly creates a mood for a scary story? The door creaked and groaned as it slowly opened, creating a darkening cloud of dust. The door had many knots and swirls in the grain of the wood, creating a sense of change. The door looked like many old doors of crumbling old houses with decaying wood parts. The door was a portal into an unknown world, a world of mystery and historic importance.
