How are the words clause and brought alike how are they different?

    Both the words are similar in certain part of pronunciation. the 'aw' part is there in cl'au'se and Br'ou'ght. But they are different in usage in english grammar. Caluse is a part of sentence with subject and predicate. But brought is the past form of verb 'bring'.
