    a. Hamlet is a character that is sardonic, bitter, sorrowful, has a lot of hatred for his uncle and revulsion for his mother’s sexuality.

    b. Gertrude is a flat, powerless woman who pursues desire and prestige more urgently than noble integrity or truth.

    c. Claudius is antihero of the play that is portrayed as a manipulative, aggressive politician, driven by his carnal drives and his hunger for power, but he seldomDisplays hint of shame and human feeling.

    d. Polonius is The Lord Chamberlain of Claudius’s court, a grandiose, conspiring old man. Polonius is the father of Laertes and Ophelia.

    e. Ophelia is a sweet and pure at heart young damsel, who adhere to her father and her brother’s rules.

    f. Laertes is ardent and quick to act, he is clearly a compliment for the reflective Hamlet.

    g. Horatio is steadfast and supportive to Hamlet throughout the play.
