He appreciates somebody who works gradually and consistently, even while others rest. He says you don't accomplish significance by rapidly shooting straight up to the best. Some fruitful men who worked "as the night progressed" to take care of business. He appreciated them since they worked harder to get their prosperity, they didn't end up noticeably effective overnight.
