What details in Act Three show Hale's increasing distrust of the court?

In Act three, Hale begins to see the witch court as a self serving entity. This follows his being disillusioned from the witch court when the accusations rose and innocent people were killed. Hale then desperately convinces Proctor to confess his dark dealings, but he fails later on. Hale has become more aware of the court's hypocrisy.
