    I would go with D.

The only thing that really needs to be capitalized is her first and last name, and the name of the place she went to. "Female" and "Explorer" don't need to be capitalized.

    Hello!

Ann Bancroft - Proper Noun (Needs to be capitalized)

North Pole - Proper Noun (Also needs to be capitalized)

Since there are no more proper nouns, then everything else in the sentence is fine if it is left uncapitalized.

The properly capitalized sentence is D. "Ann Bancroft was the first female explorer to reach the North Pole."
