Read this excerpt from an essay about charles darwin's book on the origin of species. which sentence is most likely the main idea of the paragraph?

charles darwin published on the origin of species in 1859. the evolutionary theory presented in this book has been controversial from the moment it was written. according to darwin's theory, all living beings come from a single-celled ancestor. in other words, humans, monkeys, bees, whales, and all other animals have a common ancestor. while scientists widely accept darwin's theory of evolution, many religious groups do not. that's because his theory rejects the teaching of creationism. creationism is the belief that the entire universe and all living beings were made by a divine or supernatural being. darwin's book is still banned in some schools in the united states.
