This was towards the end of the book where Heck Tate wants Atticus to change or leave out other facts of the encounter of the children. Boo Radley saved Jem from the attack which resulted in the death of Bob Ewell who was out to get everybody who had something to do with the trial. Tate wanted to protect Boo Radley as he was just a fragile mockingbird who only saved Jem from a bad situation.
