    Bona fide: neither specious nor counterfeit: Genuine. She has become a bona fide celebrity

    Debut: A person's first appearance or performance in a particular capacity or role. ex: The film marked his debut as a director

    foster: affording, receiving, or sharing nurture or parental care though not related by blood or legal ties. Ex: They are foster parents to three foster children.

    icon: a usually pictorial representation. ex: the house became an icon of 1960s architecture.
