Does social media represent individuals authentically? Explain with examples. Do you represent yourself authentically on your social media?

Not really, I don't really use a lot of social media but some people (i believe) don't really represent themselves as they are in real life because they are afraid someone wont like them, if your like me I don't give, not everyone is like me, people need to know that haterz r gonna hate and you can't stop life from going on. Social media does not represent individuals authentically, or is it that we don't represent ourselves authentically on social media?
