How does Chaucer view the Friar? In your answer, describe the Friar's appearance and actions. What purpose does the character serve in the tale? Your answer should be at least 250 words

    Friar is described from Chaucer as jolly and as a person who wants to lead a comfortable life. Instead of ministering to lepers and beggars, as friars are supposed to do, the Friar cultivates relationships with rich men so that he can make a profit. The friar wears expensive clothing and not simple cloaks of a beggar which is and as considered as normal. Friar supposed to be humble and modest, but he was not.
