Interference theory is one of the theories of forgetting. It is when a person forgets the pass memory due to the other memories that interfere it. This usually happens in short term memory in which there are things that people forget due to other things that they are thinking.

One of it is interference theory which means that in long term memory forgetting occurs as the other memories would interfere of the ones someone is trying to retrieve as the one similar is the one being remembered.
