    There were many aspects of the Victorian era that are present in this list. First of all, under Queen Victoria and combined with the increase in industrialism, the average income grew by half. People were experiencing peace and prosperity.

    This only made worse though, the differences in class--and those of lower social standing were not treated as equal members of society.

    Manners, social codes, and rules about behavior and appearances were very, very strict. People had to follow specific ways to act around other people--men with other men and with women, and women with men and other women. There were very many things considered 'rude' or 'out of form' in social situations.
