Do grades reflect students who is trying hard in the class?

Yes and no. Sometimes a student can be struggling and trying as hard as he or she can at the same time, therefore their grade doesn't show anything but prove they are struggling, in that case, the answer would be no. Or a student could be not trying and that is the reason he or she gets bad grades, in that case, then yes.
