    I won’t write out your mini essay, but I will tell you that Ooe uses metaphor and personification. The bells cannot be happy, for example. They symbolize joy. And note also the symbolism for silver and gold. Silver and gold are used mostly in positive connotation. And Poe portrays such bells as signs of a happy occassion.
