What was John Wesley's motivation for breaking from the Anglican Church to form the Methodist Church?

    His main motivation seems to have been to break with the stipulation of the Anglican Church in pre-revolutionary USA that in order to be ordained a would-be priest had to undergo a dangerous voyage to England and stay there for a year for the process to take place so he wanted a church that could ordain its' priests right in the US.
