The Anglo-Saxon sense of home was different because of their religious beliefs and their farming practices. They were pagans and worshipped many gods as well as idols or inanimate objects. They were required to go home and spend time with family members. Their farming practises involved the sharing of oxen to plow lands of their neighbors farmland.
