D. Using colors to emphasize particular items

When you create a pie chart, it gives the viewer information about the percentages of things that are related to a topic. Using a pie chart shows how big or how little related items are compared to each other. Using different colors for each section of the pie chart distinguishes each item from the other. This makes it is very easy to tell which percentage is the largest and which is the smallest.
