Explain the difference between a misplaced modifier and a squinting modifier.

    A misplaced modifier is a phrase or clause placed awkwardly in a sentence so that it appears to modify or refer to an unintended word and a squinting modifier is a n ambiguous modifier (commonly an adverb, such as only) that appears to qualify the words both before and after it
