What does translitics involve?

Translitic is a literary process. The poet uses a certain piece in another language as a basis for creating a new piece that is in his/her own language. Translitic comes from the word "trans", meaning across, and litic, which means to "cut" or "loosen". The new work may or may not necessarily follow the original.
