It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. Which impact is Lincoln most likely hoping to achieve with the above statement? for people to continue the unfinished work of the soldiers for people to disregard the progress that soldiers have made for people to dedicate themselves to making speeches for people to question the actions of the soldiers
