The writer of this quote wanted its readers to understand what true education is all about.

In "two parts ABCs to fifty parts" it talks about a schools fundamental setting usually, with planned lessons and heavy requirements of subjects that we probably don't need in the future. Basically, as students we always learn about the basics of the subjects that we tackle around school, it's just a normal education that we earn.

Now, " Where Do I Stand in the Great Pecking Order of Humankind", interestingly enough this line talks about the secondary education that we will be getting, which is the experiences of "Social interaction" and "life" in a way we don't get this usually at school.
