Even though women could not be able to be on a stage at the time he was sending a message of not caring by having men dress up as females while putting a play in a play he put real life and effort into his plays making them more reality like and more for the people to not stop watching. He is saying that he want to make the stage a place that people could look at and be like thats funny but also real from that happening in that genre.
